Gentleman, I need some help. My wife's birthday is tomorrow and I don't have a gift for her yet! Our 5th anniversary is also in 2 weeks, I could combine the gifts. [;)] I need some ideas.

I thought about getting her a new engagement/wedding ring. When I purchased the other set, some 8 years ago it was rather cheap. After looking, it would cost $1k plus to get the same. At the prices of up grading significantly, I would be in the 3K range. OUCH! So my current ideas are:

Mac laptop
Ring

Come on help a guy out here. [:D]
I need some

    + a million!

Although the price of gold and silver have gone up dramatically, earrings can be had for under $200. In many cases, under $50.

Several years ago, I bot the wife a charm bracelet. It made mothers day easy for a number of years. Bracelet and one charm, then a charm every year. Had them all soldered in place an now I'll be thinking about mothers' day again.

You can do the same at Tiffany's for under $200.

I'd suggest NEVER trying to UPGRADE her bridal set (unless she's upgrading the husband as well) There is no joy down that road.

Nothing says "I love you" like a trip to a * bar.

I bought my wife a 60 gallon Campbell-Hausfield air compressor for mothers day. she is still speechless!(of course, we've been together a couple more than 23 years) I got a new stove for fathers day. Pay-backs are a Bi&%h! I bought the "starter-spouse" a floor jack for her birthday and ended up with it in the divorce. I guess she just didn't understand the thought and love. I'm still trying to figure them out...........

I would think a Browning Citori would be fitting for such an occasion.

I have written about this before, but don't know about how you would search for it: The absolute Best Gift I ever Gave My Wife (Her Opinion, not mine) was to Take great care, and Using Really good paper, Write her a Letter! Recount some shared special Moment, and Tell her How Wonderful she has been in your life. Write as neatly as you can. Do Not Type! Do not Print out something form the Cornfuzer! Then take it to an Art Shop, and Frame it.

My wife has the Letter I wrote Nearly Twenty Years ago, on the Occasion of our Tenth Anniversary, featured in a prominent place in our house. When our Guests comment on the letter, She Positively Glows! All the Wives Just Gush. The Men Shoot Me Evil Eye!
