Job Interview...**UPDATE**

The phone interview went really well. They are going to bring me in for personal interviews now. I do better in personal interviews so I am very excited about this!

I have an interview for my dream job tommorrow. I am very nervous about it! This is the perfect job for me and at a top notch company. I sure hope it goes well as there are other qualified candidates. I am speaking directly with the hiring director.

Look confident and appear at ease; don't fidget. If you don't know the answer to a specific question or have no hands on experience in the area we are dicusssing then just say so and then describe what work you may have done along the same lines. Don't ramble (a clear sign that you have no idea what you are talking about), just hit the high points and if there are no additional questions consider the subject closed and be ready to move along. At the end of an interview I always ask the applicant if he has anything to add and this is your best and (maybe) last chance to sell yourself, convince me that you should be working for here and that I should be handing you a paycheck every two weeks. Give me something that makes me want to ask you back for another interview and never say "I think we covered everything" because no first interview can ever cover everything. The purpose of the first interview is not for me to decide who I am going to hire, it is for me to decide who I am not going to hire!

Good luck. Do you know the dress code of the company you are interviewing with? We are a biz casual office and I like it when the candidate has done enough research to know that. If you don't know, go with the coat and tie, but if you do know you will be more comfortable dressed like the person you are interviewing with.

Learn everything you can about the company, google is your friend tonight.
