    Perhaps it reduces recoil by allowing gasses to escape thru the hole in the primer?[:D]

    Dummy rounds.

    I have about 100 linked for testing the 1919A4, altough they are in faux 30-06. A lot safer than cycling the real thing through the mechanism.

    Clearly the crimps on those bullets were too danged tight. All the hot gasses melted a hole in the primer and blew out through the back end of the gun.

    Sure hope the shooter was wearing eye protection.

    They are very clean with perfectly centered firing pin indents.

    Some one did an excelent job of barrel fitting.... and was probably fired! [;)][:D]

    This. I got a box of Armscor 22lr ammo a few years ago with holes drilled in the back of the cases - no priming compound, powder, but bullet seated. Used for checking function, etc.
