Wife And Dog Problem

I have 2 dogs both mutts. The big one named Bear is 100 pounds and part Shepherd/Bull Mastiff the other is a Pit/Black Lab mix and 55 pounds.

For mothers day the kid in the mountains and his family came down and spent some days with us.

When we go to sleep we leave our door cracked about 3 inches so the dogs can get food and water when they want it.

Well the 2 year old wakes up about 6am and goes busting in our bedroom. The dogs wake up and growled at Charlotte. After they figured out what happened my wife was scared to let the baby around the dogs.

I just brought the dogs out of the room and let them play together again.

I tried to explain to my wife that she scared the dogs and they would not bite anyone that was family. When they recognized who it was they stopped barking and wanted to lick and play with the baby.

If she had her way the dogs would not get close to the babys anymore. One kid is 5 and the other is 2.

Let her know they were just warning them, if they were actually going to hurt them it would happen before you could even known what was going on

Get rid of the wife and keep the dogs.

Also considered: "sounds like one of the bI+ches needs to go"

Honestly, I didn't read the OP. Just going off the title here.

If you are 99% sure the dogs would not Hurt your grandchild, are you willing to risk the 1%?

dave that is a disaster waitin' to happen

and you will not be able to fix it

just keep the dogs away from the children...even if you are in the room with them

and then i still wouldnt let them near the kids

put the dog outside if the kids are in side and visa versa
