My husband is out with one of his college buddies fishing and running a metal detector around. I'm sure he will bring a bit of chain and other buried treasure home with him. He never leaves the junk where he digs it up....he brings it home to show me every time. "Yep, that is a bottle top, a can, 11 inches of porch swing chain, and some tangled up barbwire."

Anyway, my plan was to list guns that I have pictures of....but my brother called and needs someone to go see Guardians with him. He would normally go see this sort of thing with my husband, but he is out hunting for treasure.

I begged my son to go with us. He is up in his room being a total vegetable today. He prefers to veg-out rather than go with us though. I guess he doesn't realize JUST HOW FUN we are! [:D]

    Have a good time [:D]

By the way, did you try that crockpot pork chops recipe I suggested to you the other day? If so did your southern taste like it?

From the title, I thought he might be looking for guns in the shallow lake.
You know, where some of us has terrible boating accidents.[:I]

as long as he is having fun, and its good exercise .

about 15 to 20 years ? or so ago my BIL and I bought at the time the best metal detectors we could. at the time high end models .
we spent about two years out searching all the places we could around us ( BIL was a lot more active )
we found some old silver coins lots of new ones and tons of junk but always cleaned it up and tossed the trash
also found out how many people actual have a metal detector and have searched our area countless times [:(]
I also recovered a few friends class rings they knew the general area lost in.
I found just under 400.00 or enough to pay for the machine my time well no so much [:D]
BIL had about 600.00 but he was out every chance he could get
still have a couple whites Detector's and go out oce in a great while just for the fun
