Is a sig 229 LE different than the standard model. if so how?
Does that make it more desirable or valuable?
Our local pawn shop has one in excellent condition with the original case and only one magazine. they want $675 for it and that seems high to me, what say you?

It may just be that it is just shipped with hi-cap mags. I bought a Baretta 92 LE model that came with Hi-caps and in a "Law Enforcement" labeled box, but it was still just a 92.

The standard SIG in the blue box came with two magazines, and they were 10-rounders back during the Crime Bill days. The Law Enforcement SIG in the black box came with three normal capacity magazines, and during the Crime Bill days, they were LE marked.

If someone is selling you a LE SIG in a black box with fewer than three magazines, someone scammed a mag or two out.

this one is in a blue box. the only noticeable difference I can see it the attachment rail. The label says LE only

If it has a light rail built into the dust cover, it is a P229R, not a LE anything. The only "LE ONLY" markings I have ever seen on any SIG pistol, are on normal capacity magazines made during the dark days of the King Klinton Krime Bill.

Check with CDNN Investments for police trade-in pistols. You will find your pawnbroker has his pistol priced a little over-market.

I just bought a used sig p220 for $450. I think also that price is high.

I looked at the site, it really didn't tell me much beacause I couldn't get into the dealer pages and I think there was only one 229 they had offered for sale and it was new.
They are selling the deluxe LC Smith double for $899 it has fluer de ls checkering and case colored, side plate reveiver...beautiful.
    I think I need one..

See if a dealer near you has a CDNN flyer. Good stuff, good company.

I'm on what looks like their web page now... cdnninvestments.com Is that right? It has a bunch of stuff that looks pretty low grade for sale but no guns. Clicking on their catalog does show a lot of guns but for prices that don't seem near the gun store prices. Can someone fill me in on what the 'catch' is? Otherwise I will just try to find out how to order a gun from them, shipped to my local gun store, pay the $50 background check fee, and save a couple hundred on almost every gun. There's got to be something here that I'm not seeing.
