Magpul

I'm one of the misinformed masses I'm sure but as I'm learning about mags, ammmo, etc., I thought Magpuls were OK mags. I have acquired several over the past few months and then had a completed failure this morning. While exercising my AR at my range this morning, every time this one 30 rd mag went down by 8-10 rounds, it would freeze. Drop the mag out of the chamber and the rounds would fall out, indicating the follower was stuck.

Educate the dummy here but now it just makes sense to me that I need to work out every mag to make sure it's working right and that thought never occurred to this rookie.

Here's my question, what else is obvious to the experts that I need to be doing to make sure my AR is ready when I call on it and keeps working thru a few mags if needed???

Gun was working fine and never had a problem with it so far but ain't much good without ammo feeding in properly.

    It has been a month.

    Did Magpul move yet? They said within 30 days they would.

    I have some of their mags, I think they are great! I did not know that they made lower receivers, does anyone have any of their lower receivers?

    I don't have any of their magpul things, mine seem to grab just fine without an extra pull for them.

    Need isn't a factor with some people. If it can be attached to an AR, they just got to have it because this month's edition of [fill in the blank] gaid it was 'GTG'. [:D]

    Magpul makes some cool good stuff.

    I never thought I needed or wanted the magpuls either. I got some that came with some M1A mags I bought. I had planed on selling them to offset some of the cost of the mags. Well I ended up liking them and getting more and some for other guns. Like Txs said depends on how you carry your mags.

    Well, maybe I should shut the heck up and try some of them!

    Sometimes its the CDI factory (Chicks did it) and cause it looks cool. I had a guy tell me once, "The worst part about this job is that I got to go home and take all this neat stuff off."

    I'm going to buy some I think.
