I am AR illiterate. But that doesn't stop me from wanting one. I like the one reviewed in the American Hunter this month.
They're listed on the auction side for around $960. As a hunter, the full camo apealls to me.
Would this be a good "first AR"?

I was looking at some at a recent gun show and someone mentioned that it has a faster twist rate and that it would be better for heavier bullets, any body know for sure?

You would need to post the twist rate for an optimum bullet recommendation. (It should be stamped on the barrel). Most barrels nowadays are 1:9, or 1:7 rates. Any 60-70gr. bullet will do the job. Best, Joe

The specs say 1/7 twist. Also, trigger pull is 6.5lb.
