Recommend a simple optic

For use on a .22 LR i.e. Ruger MkIII with a rail mount??? give me some tips on brand, etc. Just need a quick site for short range target acquisition for match shooting??? thoughts?? advice??

Buy an inexpensive red dot scope, I have a BSA I bought on sale on my MK III 22/45 and it works great. Ive lined it up when I put it on and a yr later I havent had to make any adjustments. It shoots dead on with the same batteries.

agree. put one on wife's 870 20 ga. she loves it. popping does at 98 yrds. (rifled slugs, smooth bore) It has held up to the recoil of the shotgun and stayed zero'd from last year. just went to range this last weekend.

What's wrong with iron sights? They're quick and the batteries never wear out. I put a red dot on a Ruger once and neever could get used to it.
