Does anybody else just have the hardest damn time trying to decide what kind of gun to buy???

I get so worked up over this kind of thing that I lose sleep over it.

At my age, and as long as I have been at it, I just sit back and wait 'til something comes along that I really like. Usually get a better deal that way, too. You will know when you see the right one !!!

    Thanks---Peabo

Not anymore - I have got all those that I've wanted.

... now I borrow one that I want (to try out).

I also don't have much time anymore - although we are
going up to the mountains shooting at a friend's place
next week. That should be fun.

My next gun has got be a sig in 45 or 9mm or a another glock in 45

I actually dont plan on buying a rifle anytime soon, unless its a marlin 336

Or i could forget about buying another gun, and get the .22 conversion kit for my glock.

    B_Mc,

Best way to go about this(from my experience) is to sit down and first think about what you want the rifle for. Basically, use the game you are going to hunt, where you are going to hunt, the conditons you are going to hunt in, etc to help you decide on things like caliber, barrel length, finish, stock type and others. Build this ideal rifle in your mind. Then keep your eye out for something that resembles you "ideal" rifle at your price.

The thing is I know what I want as far as finish and caliber.

I just dont want to buy a POS. And I want to get the best quality for what I am paying for. Because I dont make alot of money, I like to get something nice and that will stay nice.

    I am stuck on

    Tikka T3
    Savage 114
    Ruger M77 II

But then when I decide on this I got to decide on a damn scope!![:(!]

Don't mind Doug. He is a Ruger hater.[:D] My favorite two hunting rifles are Ruger's.[;)] Top: Ruger M77 Ultalight in .308 Winchester and bottom: Ruger M77 in .350 Remington Magnum.

In all honesty, you really can't go wrong with any of the choices you have mentioned. If money is an issue then I would suggest going with a Savage. Best bolt aciton rifle for the money today IMO.

Buy em all. They will not get cheaper. Besides, who needs to eat everyday.
