MLK Statue

"ATLANTA (AP) ? A statue paying tribute to civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. has been installed on the state Capitol grounds in Atlanta."

Things could get interesting.

    Atlanta is a chocolate city.

    They should put up a statue to Hosea Williams, at least he did something for the shines in Atlanta.

    I remember Hosea on TV giving Mayor Jackson hell, Hosea said he was getting beat upside the head while Maynard Jackson was "Passing" up in Chicago[:D]

    "A city too busy to hate" What a joke. Atlanta is the home of the Affirmative Action hiring practices. Whites have fled and are still fleeing Atlanta. I wish my Dad would leave.

    Just as a Jefferson Davis statue damages no one, neither does an MLK Jr. statue.

    Consistency of response in necessary here, if respect for other statues and monuments is to be regained.
    Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

    I don't have a problem with a statue of Dr. King being put up anywhere as I respect him and his call for peaceful protest .... but not in lieu of Confederate monuments that only one side decides to destroy.

    That is why I think putting a statue to MLK is a joke. Like I said before ATL is the king of AA hiring practices.

    You will never see a white person working at MARTA or the Airport.
