I just buried my Dog...

ALIVE!
I have a Jack Russell that is a digging fool. I pointed out a mousehole alongside my driveway, and She went at it!
After a few minutes she gave up and went inside, so I took the opportunity to fill the hole back in and stomp it down.
The hole was about a foot deep x two feet long, and six inches wide.
I finished sweeping the driveway then went inside. She wasn't in the house so I went back outside...No Liberty!
My wife ran down the street yelling for her, while I jumped on my Motorcycle and hit the neighborhood.
Nothing!
After about 15 minutes of running franticly around, something hit me! Dig up the hole!
About ten inches down, her little nose and tounge popped out! She was almost done for!
A few monthes before she had dug at the same place, but had dug under the driveway. There was a void under there that had given her just enough air to survive!!!
I think I will have an extra Beer tonight!

I tell you what, I didn't think that our bond could ever get any tighter, but the whole night, she has stuck to me like glue, with constant non-stop eye contact.
She`s just waiting for you to go to sleep, then rip your throat out.

I dug up the hole and measured it. it was about 19"X 26, with about a 6" space from top to bottom. (She was digging on her side).
What I don't understand is that there is no way that she had enough air to survive! She was under there for "at least" 10 minutes!
