RIP Nicky Hayden

Nicholas "Nicky" Patrick Hayden, nicknamed "The Kentucky Kid", was an American professional motorcycle racer who won the MotoGP World Championship in 2006. Hayden began racing motorcycles at a young age.

He died May 22nd as a result from a bicycle/car collision in Italy on May 17th.

Oh no, awful news. What great guy. He had dirt bike camp for kids up in Kentucky somewhere. Just hearing him talk with that Kentucky accent would always make me smile.

I have been pretty down since I learned of his accident. Really sad to lose him in the motorcycle community.

I wonder if we will EVER see another American bring home a Moto GP title.

His days on the RC51 were game changing for me.

Isn't that something, the guy made his living racing motorcycles and he dies from an accident on a bicycle. RIP The RC51 is a bad * bike.
