Many people comment on how sad it is when we lose people "in action" but I find these occurances even sadder. At least in action a purpose was being served......

Training to fight so that they can stay on top of their game is a purpose that was being served.

Though it is sad to lose them Military/Combat training is some of the most real, and hazardous type of work a Soldier, Airman, Sailor or Marine undertakes.

How else will the newer members get experience, and the experienced stay sharp...[?]

I am curious to know how many Special Operations guys get killed in training accidents versus combat deaths. Very sad indeed, a dangerous job. God be with their families at this moment.
