The house with the Lathe sold and my fiance is all bent out of shape about it I told her people look at hundreds of houses before actually buying one. Am I right?

Came back and bought the first one we looked at!
The right home comes along at the right time, if it is meant to be....
I owned a tiny lil old house for 8 yrs, got married and we decided to start looking for a larger home out in the country...in the middle of this foreclosure mess...
We had our eye on a house for about 6 months...
made some minor interior home improvements, paint and such...had a Realtor that was bugging me to get the house prepped to put on the market but i was waiting on carpet to get installed....carpet was installed on a friday morning, friday afternoon Realtor called wanting to show it, before we even signed any paperwork for it to go on the market saturday....showed it friday afternoon, friday evening had a contract for $1000 over List price, no inspection, no contingencies, pre-approved buyer....
That will never happened again as long as i live...point being, it was meant to be...it was meant to be that we sell our tiny lil house to that one right person....
when the right place comes along, it will all line up, because its meant to be!
My agent told me that any house around here (DC Metro area) under $400k will not last a week on the market. A co-worker of mine was looking around $350k range and lost 3 homes due to multiple other offers coming in. He finally got one though last week. We were looking above this price and those stay on the market for a long time.
time to get rid of her...she must have really wanted that lathe[;)]
She just wanted to turn some big, long, round things with tight fitting specs.[;)][:I]

Well we found another house and we like it but its alittle small. and we would like to expand up or out the back. The best part is the house is priced less than the other house and I think it would be a good starter home.

Yes, but the windows are new and we didnt hear any trains while we were there, Also we are across the street from the same tracks just 1/4 mile east right now so the noise wouldnt be a problem.

Jon
we found our new house, had been driving by it for 6 months before we even put ours on the market...he tried to steer us towards some others closer in near suburbia...no thanks...I wanted some land, and peace and quiet
So he made two quick commissions with very little work!
