I have a glock 22 with worn out night sights that need replacing. I also want a glock 19 because i have a keltec sub 2000 that shoots glock mags. Would you buy sights for the 40 and a glock 19 or new sights for the 40 and a drop in barrel.? Whats your opinion.

I would buy sights, cheaper than a barrel, and I would only use Glock barrels if I did change barrels. The 19 you can get with the sights ready installed and its a great ccw carry gun, its what I carry most of the time off duty.

If i get the barrel to drop in how can it have sights on it? I would be changing from a glock 22 to a glock 19. Unless i am mistaken all you do is drop in the barrel to change calibers.

    new sights and "a barrel??

Or sell the 40 and buy a 9?

I'd buy a Glock 23C and a drop in 9mm barrel for the Glock 23...then you have a Glock 19 & 23 in the same gun [:D]...and keep the Model 22, cuz you can!

On my off duty carry guns I only have a front night sight, and leave the standard Glock rear sight. Its a defensive gun, and in a self defense shooting I am most likely going to be less than 7 yards (especially at night), using front sight post shooting.

The last Glock I ordered, a 19C I should have ordered as a 23C, and then bought a 9mm barrel for it. I regretted that decision.

You could always get a 9mm barrel for your Model 22, and some G17 mags. Those G17 mags will work in your Sub 2000. You can shoot 9mm out of Glock .40 mags, I have some G23 mags I use in my G19. I wouldn't depend on them in a defensive situation, but for plinking they work.
