Looking for an extra magazine for a rifle I just picked up on the auction side I see two auctions listing the mag I want. One has a starting price of $33 and the other starts at $45.

I went to the manufacturer's website and they sell them directly for $23.

I bet those guys are also selling 22 ammo for $80 that they bought at Walmart for $24.

It's something that's hard to figure. I was at a gun show Saturday and tried to haggle dealers on .30-06 ammo. The same ammo was on the shelves at Cabela's for less, just a few exits up the road. They wouldn't go below retail, told me I wouldn't find it elsewhere.

Magazines are another thing. I see people pay over what manufacturers charge to buy direct. Happens all the time. Like people just don't think they can do better and they just won't try.

    Amazing.

Oh yeah, saw hundreds of bricks of .22LR at that show. Did not see a single one sell. People look at prices three or four times retail and decide to skip it.

I see tons of $70-$90 dollar 22 bricks. I have not seen one sell. Doesn't men none is moving, but if much was selling I would have seen somebody at some point walking around with a box in his hands. Never have.

Well you got such a deal on the rifle you can afford to pony up the extra for a mag!
