Why do we need singers there at all????

The inauguration that is. I am sure there are many fine military members that would be honored to sing the National Anthem, properly and with dignity.

Why go through all the expensive hoopla just because the Elites of the past did it? He can get sworn in anywhere. Screw Hollyweird et al. I don't want to see them anyway.

Have Tom Selleck, Gary Sinise and Mike Row give a few words to and about our nation and its future and be done with it.

Beyond the Pomp and Ceremony of the Inauguration, you have to remember - It's a party. But beyond that, it's an opportunity for the newly elected President to thank those who worked hard to help him win the election.

You have to reward your major supporters or you won't have any supporters.

Don't invite a black, and it will be viewed as racist. We have lost this war before it even started.

Hollywood last I looked, it appears you only want someone whose politics agree with yours.

    Who cares?

It should be an honor for a star to sing. They shouldnt have to be paid.

    Paid? I don't know, that's a good question.

I have a friend in a band that has been invited to perform for the president at the White House several times (previous administrations). They were told NO ONE gets paid for performing at the White House, it's considered "an honor". OTOH, they did get paid for performing at an inaugural ball, basically a fundraiser.

The actual inauguration will be at the Capitol, so .... it would be interesting to find out if performers get paid. I wouldn't think so. It's televised, so there will be a lot of exposure. At a minimum all 50 million food stamp recipients will be glued to their big screen TVs.

DISCLAIMER: I am not and never have been a Trump supporter.

It would make a lot more sense having the three I pointed out speaking at Trumps party than it would to have Rosie O'Donnell or Susan Sarandon speaking, would you not agree?

Gary Sinise is a top notch true American Patriot.

If you are not familiar with his work for our Active duty Military members and Veterans, you should be.

I greatly admire that man. A true American Patriot, of the first order.

Hard to tell since his politics, positions and promises are subject to daily revision.[:)]

I think the Clinton's started making it into a rock party.... A tradition that needs to die. It really needs to remain dignified. The lobbies use it as an excuse to party. The fact the bands won't play and a lack of interest in parties show how little influence the lobbyists have.

He and Toby Keith should have it well in hand. I imagine some other quality country music stars will step up. Most of Trump's supporters are not likely Kanye fans anyways.
