Online ammo sales

Given all he hoopla about selling ammo online got me thinking. I've only bought ammo online twice (back when you could get 1000 rounds of 7.62x39 for $75). Where do you guys shop for ammo, and who has good prices? I know, I could do the research myself [:D] But why do that when I can just ask thousands of folks across the reaches of the internet and garner their opinions? I'm running short of 5.56 and really need to get more, I only have about 200 rounds left and that aint gonna last long [:0]

I buy most of mine online. Very rarely a store will have a better deal, like Dick's or Bass Pro. But that is rare. Never buy from a gun store. The guns are cheap but the ammo prices are very high.

Where are these "cheap" guns you speak of?[8D]

I mean cheap as not so much higher than dealer cost. I think the gun store doesn't sell guns for much higher than their cost, but they sell ammo and other accessories for a lot higher than cost. At least when I compare gun prices to other places around here it appears that way. I figure they make most of their money off of accessories and ammo that people need to use their guns. I mean I could buy most any gun in the store for less than the cost of 1000 rounds of any ammo caliber.

Have bought from gunbroker, midway, natchez etc. It is about the only way to find odd or obsolete calibers. Also a great way to have many different choices of the loads availabe in any given caliber. Just bought some 356 winchester off of gunbroker sellers for about half the price that I would have had to pay a shop if I could have even found it.

I've bought from ammoman for about 6 years or so. I've bought from GB also but mainly unusual/rare ammo. I've never been disappointed w/ either.
It's too late for me, save yourself.
