Now thats the way to do it. Just skip the two wheels and go straight to one. You are a brave man.[:D]

Forget truckers in the US doing anything except "quitting driving". Now if they would stick together like the truckers did in Spain----they might wake someone up.

from what i understand it was a dismal failure. all it really accomplished was pissing off and unconvincing thousands of people with those rolling roadblock stunts.

Thats what I thought would happen. How many times have they tried to do something like this and it fell apart? A truck strike in the US will never work with all the company owned trucks on the roads, those guys are getting paid so why should they strike?!

How do you like your investment/retirement plans/mutual funds plans? Probably heavily into energy stocks, like most.

Guess what? You're PART OF THE PROBLEM, because right now, it's not supply and demand, it's market speculation that is driving the price.

PS: How would you like it if it cost to 40-50% more to do YOUR job, and it came out of YOUR pay?

    Buy a hybrid.

I'm part of the problem? Why because I can afford to drive my diesel pickup? Sure it sucks paying that much but what the hell, $100+ to fill it up, ohh well.

I fill up around 1/2 tank, you musta filled up from empty or you got a very large tank. I can't remember how big the tank is on my Ford, 30-35 gallon something like that, I know if I let it get to 1/4 tank I went too far. Ya know I went to Detroit last week, pulled an empty car trailer out and brought back a '79 Trans Am, $400 in fuel but then again I didn't baby that Powerstroke any, had a blast on I-80 passing everything I saw [:D]

you won't be thinking it so funny when your food bill triples soon...cost me now 1100.00 dollars to fuel up my four wheel drive tractor each time....wasn't to long ago it cost about 300.00 dollars. what it cost to fuel up my diesel pickup with 40 gallon tank is chump change ....don't know what it costs me a month for fuel for my pickup but its over a thousand a month...that used for getting to my farm, parts runs checking crops, checking cattle ect ect.....chuckle all you want.....but i dont find it very funny.....oh yea fertilizer prices are four times higher than a year ago due to energy prices...ect ect.

cowdoc, you have that so right.

With corn prices going crazy the rain in the midwest, the lack of it other places is going to drive the costs even higher. My fuel bills it seems have gone nuts, it seems the backhoe or skidsteer is always low on fuel. Then you throw in the truck for getting to and from jobs, and it is always way over a grand a month. I still feel lucky we have been getting to much rain but when I see others flooded out I know things with me aren't nearly so bad after all.
