Actually it's meat-sauce that i make for spaghetti, but it works great as pizza sauce too.

Well, Publix made it this am, and they put it in an oiled plastic bag, it was starting to rise when i brought it home at noon. I put it in an oiled bowl, then cover it with plastic wrap. Push the plastic right down against the oiled dough, so it don't get a crust/dry out on you. Then i put it in the microwave above the stove, with a folded-up papre towel wedged in the door, so it closes, but the light stays on.That gives you the PERF. conditions to proof the dough. By 5PM it had risen 3" above the sides of the bowl.
I flower and roll my pizza dough because it "works" it less than doing it by hand.
Trust me, the crust comes out nice and crispy, yet really tender on the inside![:p] It is better than ANY CALL-IN or TAKE-OUT you can get ANYWHERE, at ANY price!

    Calzones here...

    I cheated, though.

I used Buttermilk bisquits from a tube.

But I made the sauce myself...

    If i
m not mistaken, the "dough-boy" or one of them biskit outfits makes a PIZZA DOUGH in a can.
I have used it and it ain't 1/2 bad. You might check the bakery in your local supermarket too, that's where i get mine and it is KIK-*!!
Good luck, and "EAT MORE PIZZA"!!
PS) don't forget the cold beers!![:D]

Jiffy makes a pretty good dough mix. I spread it out a thin as I can get it and put it in the oven to get it brown. Then I use my own sauce or, depending on time, use ragu sauce. The sauce they have in the jar is pretty good actualy.

I pile on one pound of shredded mozzarella followed by one-half pound browned med. pork sausage, pepperoni (I put it on a paper towel and nuke it to get rid of a lot of the grease) a small jar of sliced mushrooms. Then top it off with a half pound of shredded four cheese mix.

I put that in the oven until all the cheese is melted and the crust is lightly brown, then it goes into the broiler to brown the top of the cheese. This last step is what really makes the pizza.

It is a bit cheaper to just order in, but I can't sit down and eat all of one of my pizzas like I can a large pizza hut meat lovers.

Now I am going to have to make one.... Thanks a lot!

    Mike
