This happened yesterday at 11 AM. It is just South of my Daughter and Grandkids, and straight east of my 2nd home which is on Whidbey.
The photo is from Google Earth. It show what this 7 year old neighborhood was like just recently.
There is danger that a flood will open through the debris and hit the I5 bridges.
So far, four dead and 18 missing.
The landslide came from 0.4 miles away and crossed the river before hitting the homes, then crossed and closed the highway. I think I read the mud is 30 feet deep. Voices were heard the first night, but none of those saved.
