Let me rant too. I don't want to be near them when the gun goes off and that includes ported shotguns too.
My hearing loss cant be recovered.

yeah but it sure is entertaining when you are at the range and you shoot one and the guys nearby almost mess themselves!

I call it a muzzel compensator, or comp for short, but yes, it's brake, not break.

A compensator is what's on a pistol, a brake is for a rifle, both serve the same thing,
