Local incident with a Gun sale- Lessons learned

So the news reported that someone had a gun for sale on A list, he agrees to meet the buyer at the Wally World on Dorchester Rd. "Buyer" holds up seller and gets away. Cops reviewed the tape from Wally and see the guy drive out on to Parlor rd which he happens to live on and they bust him. Dummy claims he knows nothing but the phone rings in his pocket when they dial the number used by the 'buyer" and the seller Id's him. Hope he spends a real long time in prison.

My FFL tells people all the time if you do a deal on A list have them meet you here in the store and he will make copies of the Drivers license and do a BOS free and it also provides a lot safer environment.

Personally I've seen so many guns for sale on that site that I recognized the picture from an auction here and knew to steer clear of it so I won't use that site.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

I have picked up a few great deals using A-list but you have to be careful. Lots of scams on there.

Yep I have used A-list many times over the years, we also have another classified site for VA residents that includes profiles where you can put feedback, so folks can get a good idea if they are dealing with someone legitimate.

my son does a lot of deals on the c-list he always takes along at least one friend , ( not counting his equalizer )
I have seen now some areas ( cities ) have set up safe trade zones enclosed parking lots with surveillance so greatly reduces the chance some one will take advantage of you , great idea if close enough to work for you .
