Harley owners .. well all motorcycle owners

Supposedly a real sign here in Utah
Buddy says a UHP who is a beamer owner took the photo and his wife sent it to him

But until I see the actual sign I remain suspect. Either way is a classic.. I just did a check I knew we had a speed limit increase but it is only to 80 MPH in some areas so the 85 discounts it as real

    Clearly a photoshop job.

Everybody knows a Harley can do 85....in the back of a pick up truck!

The powerlines in the background look awful familiar.[;)]

No, I'm pretty sure that one is authentic.[^]

Well, there is no question that the big Japanese "crotch rockets" can outrun even the high performance Harleys which are really almost 19th century technology with their push rod operated overhead valve design. But they aren't THAT anemic.

My 1979 FXE is only 80 cubic inches which is really small by current standards. It's hopped a little with a medium cam, a bigger carb, the drag pipes, and even hauling my fat * it can do 95 in 3rd gear (one more to go, it's a 4 speed). It cruises at 85 with no problem and likes it at that speed as that puts the RPM right on the power curve.

I'm biased for sure, but I think it's a very handsome old school cycle.

I had a 30.50 CI BSA Gold Star that would run the dog pants off of any Harley except the XR 750!

My Harley is for cruzing, this is for when I want to ride.

Idiots that race down the road on rice burners are why my insurance is so expensive.

Around here it's the Hardley Ableson Halloween costumed bearded sunglassed tattoo'd posers that hang at the bar all night and get them and their 4th hand Sportster mangled whilst drunk.

Around here its the dumb a$$ed crackhead $350 full-faced helmet with shorts and flip flops wearing Honzukisaki cowboy doing wheelies at 100 mph and arguing the right-of-way with a semi that gets mangled.

Well, one thing for certain, we ain't gotta worry about the Hardley's doing 100 mph wheelies!

Yeah, so what? My last three Yamahas couldn't do a wheelie at 100mph either (or my Suzuki, or my Honda, for that matter).

Is that the big hallmark of owning something other than a Harley? "Ooo look, my bike can do wheelies @ 100mph!", or "Ooo look, I can jam on the front brake, and pick up the rear end!"

Sorry, I just don't see the point of talking poop on Harleys not being able to do stupid little attention-whore tricks they weren't designed to do. Me, I'd rather just sit down on a bike, fire it up, go for a cruise, and have the last thing on my mind be the thought of some cocky little dickfart actually taking the time to concern themselves that what I ride isn't as capable of doing tricks as their bike is.

Well said, buddy. It's also nice to be secure in the knowledge that your scoot will be chugging down the road long after the japonee wannabees have gone to the junk yard.

So childish it isn't even funny. When will the children realize Harley riders could give a rats * what they think.

And hate to bust the children's bubble but my Harley will cruse all day long at 100mph or faster. LMAO

Apparently the Hardley girls care what we think, judging by the amount of boo hooing![:D]
