well a year ago i wouldn't have thought it up, but todays climate is a different story
mark my words, soon they will claim any confederate descendants will need to forfeit their assets handed down through generations , land and any holdings, all descendants shall be jailed for their ancestors crimes of slavery
of course ignoring facts that the north held slaves even years after the C war, or the obvious facts that the north already took most of it after the war anyway

I agree with what's in red above.
While people might stand by (as they are doing now) while someone's grave is exhumed,...there's a big difference between that and seizing property and assets from anyone having an ancestor that fought for the Confederacy IMHO.
I know my 'assets' will not be seized peacefully, and imagine everyone else would feel the same.
Actually it might be a great idea for them to try something like that. It might finally be enough for people to come together and say,..."I've had enough. It's time for the shooting to commence."

Sounds like these forms of social justice and moral superiority will be the battleground for any new bill put forth in the Senate. Want to build a wall, tear down these statues. Want Healthcare reform, removes these states from Congress.....

that would be called a compromise, they will not negotiate anything they want it all, why compromise when your getting what you want in the first place ?
