The type that uses the tractor hydralic system. Have one that has been sitting in my woodshed for years. Tried to find out what a new one cost to figure out how much to sell it for. No one seems to make one any more. Any idea what one would be worth?? I am thinking $100 minimum-$250 max but I have not point of reference.

A name brand 4"x24" hydraulic cylinder is $150 and up. A valve is $50 and up. Hoses are $2-3 per foot.
If it works good I would ask $400 and let them talk you down a little.
This sounds good to me.
Personally I don't like the idea of putting hours on a tractor to spit wood, but some do. Good luck.
Yep, sold mine and bought a stand alone 27 ton unit. Rear mount I had was slow and underpowered. Maybe the newer ones are better.
