I took my grand son to Chuck E Cheese's last night!! No matter where or how you moved you would be rubbing bellys or * with somebody! Never again on a Saturday night! [:D]

I used to take my daughter to the one in Centerpoint, but that area has changed. I tried taking my younger kids bakc when they were little and it was like you were being mugged. The other parents that were there weren't watching their kids and they would beg for tokens...steal your prize tickets off your table. It was horrible.

I drive an hour away to Vestavia and it was like another planet....a little crowded, but you didn't feel like choking anyone.

Way WAY back before it was Chuck E Cheese...it was Showbiz Pizza place. I was 18 or 19 and I was supposed to meet a friend there. They wouldn't let me in because I wasn't 21. I thought that was STRANGE. It IS a kids pizza place with games and such, but because they served beer they wouldn't let a teenager in by herself.

I haven't been to any of those places in forever. I kind of like those games that give out the tickets. I used to save them up and I once had a kitchen sized garbage bag full. I got this HUGE stuffed Elephant and a big fuzzy bear for my little sister.

Have been to a few kids parties at that chain. Wow, that's an operation to take a couple of aspirins before you step inside. Get a head start on the headache from all the noise!

Plus some of the very little kids are terrified of the mechanical animals and the worker in the big mouse costume.

They don't have the mouse at this one anymore. I paid $15.00 for a cup of tokens and he got 502 tickets. I could have gone to the dollar store and bought the things he got for $1.99 Those people have a good racket going. They had to take in many many thousands of dollars last night alone.

He was probably afraid of getting mugged.

Hi Rosie, I hope you disinfected everyone when you got home. My oldest got invited to Chuck E cheese for a birthday party a few years ago. The next two weeks he missed 6 days of school and needed two visits to the Dr. Very bad case of Flu, Cold, plague, whatever it was. We now call it the Chuck E Cheese disease. I will never set foot in one again. I wonder if they ever clean or disinfect those climbing toys or the plastic ball room. Just put one kid in there that is coughing, sneezing or dripping germs all over and you could infect hundreds in a night.
