Oregon had a tough winter kill

    This article says there was 18" of snow. I live in Baker city and there was at least 4 feet of compacted snow at my house. I spent about $700 just to save the roof of my shop from collapsing. That snow makes easy hunting for cougars and wolves also. The small ones can't run. I will not be buying a tag. There are not many birds either. Grouse took a beating as well as chuckers.

    Yea, 18" was not very accurate. I have friends in Elgin and they had close to 40" at one point.
