There are some who want to have a Confederate monument removed from Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. It is offensive. I guess whomever hollers loudest gets their way. When will this madness end?

    Some folk have no respect for American history. The war is over. There were heroes on both sides. Let the statues be as a reminder that good people took a stand for what they believed in...

    Removing these memorials is like burning books. Ignorant at best.

    Statues and other monuments/memorials are things that are made to remind people of history, good or bad. How people observe or react to these symbols are what determines our future. Right now the wave is to remove anything that is not p/c. Very, very ignorant in my opinion. However, my, as well as most of us here think that it is incorrect, and we are in the minority by far. These episodes will keep on taking place as long as the media puts its spin on it, and people like us allow it. Maybe someone should demand that all of the Vietnam War Memorials be taken down because the names listed on those walls of sacrifice did something that affected someone else..I say, well, email me if you really want to know...[:(!][:(!][V]
