Stuck Choke Tube: Wrench

A friend of my sons bought a used Benelli Nova. Doubt the choke tube was ever taken out of it as it was only used duck hunting.
I cut the cup out of a wad and stuck it down the barrel just level with the cut outs of the choke tube.
Then, filled it PB Blaster. I keep filling the cup.
Hoping the added leverage with my little creation will help budge it out.
He was wanting to weld a socket to a wrench and impact it out. Told him that would be a good way to screw up the threads.

PB Blaster it the shizzle!
If the PB don't work in 48 hrs, apply light heat right on the threads. It'll come right out.

I believe that the person that had it before tried heat.
The front fiber optic sight has a sag to it. [:D]
I will definitely try the hammer tap.
I can't really torque too much on the tube yet without a another hand holding on to the barrel.
the kid gets home in a week or so for spring break so I figured a little soak time would not hurt it a bit.
Figure about 8 years of duck hunting in the rain it could be good and rusted.
Won many steak dinners when I worked in the 'oil patch' by betting any takers I could loosen any threaded connection with a 3# hammer. The constant vibrations from tapping with the hammer would do it every time,,,,,,,,[;)]
You might try tapping with a plastic mallet,,,,,,,,,rotating the barrel as you tap. Quick, short taps works better on small threads,,,,,,,,,,probably need a non marring 'backer' under the barrel to help the vibes work better,,,,,,,
My dad taught me that trick when he owned his machine company. They would always get food processing machines that hadn't been cleaned and needed repair. Just tapping on them loosened all the stuck bolts and screws. I do that with lids on the cans of pvc glue also. A few taps with a hammer and they turn right off.

Works well on a fresh gallon.I tap the lid with my plastic funny pipe clippers.[;)]

Figured I could roll the barrel around on it a bit and not screw up the camo job.
