Saiga question.....

I know it can be found elsewhere, but I am being lazy and I have a headache so here goes. If I adapt a standard polymer AK mag to fit and catch in my Saiga, will I still have to install a feed ramp in the gun itself? I want to be able to shoot standard (read cheaper) mags in the Saiga without modifying the gun.

yes and no. The polymer mags will need a feed ramp. The metal mags can be made to work by welding a "feed ramp" on the front lip. I have also found that 75rd drums work without a ramp or any mods.
