So much for nothing happening in a small town. This happened about 1 mile out of my city limits, and probably happened when I was on duty.

COLUMBUS, Ga. --A Delaware man is in custody in the weekend slayings of a couple in Harris County.
Investigators allege that 21-year-old Kevin Thomas McKay of Dover, a prison parolee, fatally beat 57-year-old Sherlene Robinson and 61-year-old Jerry Church, then stole their vehicle and bank cards.
Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley said the victims were found in their home Sunday afternoon. He said the couple were recently married and appeared to have been killed sometime Friday or Saturday.
McKay was arrested Saturday and was booked into the county jail for DUI and possession of marijuana. Jolley said warrants are pending for the murders.

Lt496., I live about 4 blocks from there and like the article says "this area is changing". Been here for 18 years, back when this was in the country. CHANGE IS NOT ALWAYS FOR THE BETTER
Agreed. I remember when that particular area had very few people. Now it is a virtual madhouse of activity.
