Wow! Only 3 replies... and all ?no?s ?.
You all must be too young to know what it was about.
I guess I should have asked if anyone here knows to what It refers.

No, I was just making a joke.

But "impeach the cox-shucker" refers to the Nixon era when Nixon ordered to have Cox fired. And if I remember right, he ordered three or four people to fire Cox, the first two or three resigned instead of doing it. The last and final one did fire Cox...

Several weeks later a committee determined that the firing of Cox was illegal. Hence "impeach the cox-shucker"

and if I remember right, it all stemmed from the "Saturday night Massacre". but that was years and years ago so I'm not for sure

Are you trying to compare the Nixon's Watergate scandal and the firing of Cox with the Trump/Russian investigation and the firing of Comey?

Or are you comparing the similarities between the break-in of the Democratic National Committee office and subsequent wiretapping during the Nixon era to the way that Trump's campaign office was wiretapped?

Or are you just having flashbacks from a bad LSD trip in the 60s?[:D]

Thank you, that was way back in the early seventies and although I hadn't even entered High School, I took slightly more than a passing interest in the Watergate scandal. But still I was more interested in girls... So my recollection of it is not completely clear...[:D]
