This weekend I was given about 20 lbs of Elk meat in different cuts-hamburger, roasts, steaks. I think I'm going to use the hamburger in chili. But I've never cooked an elk roast-what is the best way? In a crockpot or in the oven? I don't want to overcook it as I know it will dry out.
