    It's more stupid than desperate. I looked it up. Say I plan to vote for Johnson in Virginia and he has no chance of winning in Virginia, and you plan to vote for Trump in Illinois where Trump has no chance of winning. We agree I will vote for Trump in Virginia and you vote for Johnson in Illinois, theoretically giving both candidates a better chance of winning one state.
