Now the governor has to sign it, which he will. This will allow PA hunters to finally use our semi auto firearms to hunt with. So glad that I can now use my 10-22 for small game and my M1 for deer, as well as an AR 15. The house voted almost unanimously, saying that it showed that an animal can be harvested in a more humane way.
On another note, NJ finally will let us use rifles, up to 25 caliber, to hunt coyote. I would say in the next few years, they will allow us to hunt with rifles for deer, other then rifled slugs and Muzzle loaders. We finally passed a law to allow us to hunt Sundays on private land, during bow season. I know, big deal, but it is a start in this communist, anti hunting state. Oakie

Didn't NJ just open up a bear season?
We have had a bear season for I think 20 to 30 years. North Jersey is infested with bears like PA. All Mountains,
Pretty sure it will only be for small game, groundhogs and yotes. Even at that, it has been a long time coming. Fingers crossed
The news said for deer too.
Hunting for me used to be a passion, something that I have quit jobs over, destroyed relationships with women, had trouble in school and so on, I was a junkie that went ape poop over hunting seasons. From * hunting though small game, summer ground hogs and into all of our deer seasons I could spend every day of the year in some sort of hunting activity. This is what I lived for.
Now if you have paid attention to my postings over the last decade you would know that my biggest reason for leaving PA was because of PA hunting going to hell, when Gary Alt who forever changed deer season brought about the mass slaughter of deer in PA and wiped out the entire deer population on many pieces of state forest I decided it was time to leave. Hunting in PA is ruined unless you are wealthy and do as many did which is to come to deer rich parts of the state like where I used to live and buy up farm lands and turn it into huntin camps for Philly lawyers.
I could keep rambling on, I could say things that may insult some forum members from the area but I'll just keep my opinions and thoughts to myself. But I'll close with this, giving these goombah city slickers a chance to dump a full mag into a herd of deer is absolutely sickening!! I'm so glad I left that misserable state!! [:(!][:(!]
