Prayers for Erica. UPDATE...

Talked with the Dr about Erica's neck. The x-rays show nothing. They want a MRI to take a better look. Having a spot that is sore to the touch and can cause pain down the arm is not good, not being able to see why is no help.
So little one gets to worry more about what they may find and if it will stop her cheering this year, she is a senior and really wants to cheer. I hope they find a simple remedy to stop the pain.
Okay folks for those who pray, send good wishes or anything you feel will help Erica could use them.
She had her yearly physical yesterday. I get a call, they are at the hospital she is in getting x-rays of her neck and both feet. Dr did not like the looks of the feet and neck has been causing pains.
She was in to see a Podiatrist today, she must wear Orthopedic inserts in her shoes from now on. The joints in her feet are "lax, and way to floppy" this is letting the center of the foot twist when she walks. The reason the feet were looked at was due to a bony protrusion on the top center of each foot. The foot Dr said it is a benign tumor growing from the joint, she did say it is odd to have the same growth, in the same place, on both feet.
This is not something that will spread, it will just get worse as long as the foot twists in the center. When the Dr had her stand she pointed out to us hot the heal rotated in and the toes stayed flat, hence the Ortho devices to correct that. If the growth gets to causing pain when she stands they will go in and grind it off. Having EDS that will be the very last thing they will try.
We had a call, after hours, that just left a message for us to call tomorrow about the "problem" in the neck. That is what has me worried. She has never had a injury to the neck so we have no idea what it causing the pain. But she has a hard bony lump that is painful to the touch, not sure if it may be the same type of thing.
I will update this tomorrow after we talk to the next Dr and hear what is going on.
Later, David.

Just smile and say nothing, let them guess how much you know.

Kids shouldn't get sick...[:(]
I have the exact same thing.
I wore arch/foot inserts in my shoes from age 10 to 12.
My protrusions are where the big toes meet the foot.
Many doctors looked at them, most were honest and said , leave them alone. Other than making sure your shoes fit good, the damage from removing them may be worse than leaving them.
I'm 59 now and my feet hurt me now a little, so the doc's were right- I got away with it for 47 years.

I know it's completely too far away, but this foot doctor is a true and talented surgeon. He rebuilt both my feet using all the original parts and saved me from a life in a wheel chair. Fought a good fight with my insurance company too to get it done. Twenty years later and doing fine. I see he is still in the trade:

The bones in my arches had separated due to excessive tension between the Achilles Tendon and Plantar Ligaments. It was like having an extra hinge in the center of the arch, crazy painful with the Navicular sliding about and grinding. He made a diagonal cut through the tendons, releasing pressure. Then sewed the ends together with some overlap, making them longer. Then built a sort of suspension bridge of the arch bones by relocating another tendon from the side of the foot to pull up the arches. Took me lots of physical therapy and a year of rebuilding strength, but it was surely worth it.
Saw photos of his reconstruction of a foot sliced in half in a go-kart racing accident. All those muscles and blood vessels and nerves and connections to repair. Impressive stuff. Sort of doctor gets called for heart surgery teams just for his skill in harvesting blood vessels from a patient's leg, that the cardio surgeon then uses on the heart repair.
Somebody with those sort of skills is worth finding.
Best Wishes!
I wear inserts in my shoes all the time. Feet got to where it hurt to just stand on them. Now if I forget to change them when I change shoes I'll know it in 15 min.
