Some Good And Bad News

The good news is all 3 of my doctors wrote a letter on my behalf for my disability hearing. I was approved for disability along with back pay.

The bad news is all 3 of my doctors wrote that i will not get well enough to ever work again.

I am the type that really loved to work. I worked 60 to 90 hours a week for years. Now i just read or piddle around the house.

    Stay strong Dave. I have a feeling you knew, they would rate you never able to work again. You've put in 60-90 hour weeks all your life? I'd say its a good time to slow down a little. What are your hobbies? I always have several projects in various stages.


    You are a big source of inspiration for a lot of us here, I'm glad you are still around.[:)]

    it will take getting use to , sounds like your family keeps you going with all the projects ,
    glad your going to get some cash coming in , that will be a bonus for your own projects and wish list

    Well I am both glad and sad to hear this.

    I understand how it feels. I was sent to Tulsa for 4 days of rehab testing, the Dr's wrote a letter that said, "Mr Nephew is not worth the cost to retrain." Talk about a poke in the ego.

    When I got hurt and was home waiting for surgery the first few weeks were not bad, but after that, like you, I miss working.

    My Dr's now tell me to do what I can, on the days that I can, and when I do I often over do it and pay a high price. But hey its worth getting to use my hands and do something.
    Just smile and say nothing, let them guess how much you know.
