    The ones we used to pick grew in cow patties in south Georgia. We'd drive down I-75 almost to the Florida line and start visiting pastures, looking for small (about quarter-sized) ones that were light gold on the outside of the cap, progressively darkening to bronze in the center.

    Dry those babies in the sun, mince them up and use an old-style coffee percolator to make tea, or just load up a pipe and puff away.
