3 Shot & Killed in Union Grove, WI

3 Illinois men were shot and killed around 7:00 pm tonight at the Great Lakes Dragaway. The shooter was a black man in his twenties. The races of the deceased were not mentioned. This is the drag strip that I attend on about a once a month basis. There were approximately 5,000 people in attendance for what is known as Larry's Fun Night. The shooter did escape.

    Don't see many minorities down there less then 2% on a weekly basis, but there are probably more on tuner nights which I never attend.

    Doesn't the shooter know it's against the law to kill people? Probably a gun free zone too?

    I spent many, many days and nights there back in the day! It's been about 5 years since I was there last.
    Great old place!
    I saw many of the greats there.
    Muldowney, Garlits, Prudhome, McKewn, Jenkins, Jungle Jim (and Pam![:D][^]),Hoover, Little Red Wagon, Hemi Under Glass, and the rest!
    So many great memories!!

    After doing a bit of research on the event it appears that 98% attending were black or some other minority. Now it all makes sense to me. Thankfully that is the only event of this type scheduled at the track for the season and most likely its last.
