It was a great day to head out to breakfast in Portsmouth with my brother and a few friends. We flew to Jackson OH airport from breakfast for gas. Our home field is out of gas, with 1500 gallons left in the tank unusable.

We have 1500 left because the scum County Commissioners let shoddy work go unchallenged when the new tanks were put in a couple of years ago. Another self-serving azzhat know it all Commissioner keeps claiming the price of 100LL will drop. They will not let the airport manager order fuel. We have pilots flying in to get fuel only to discover they can't get any. [:(!][:(!][xx(][xx(]

I could tell you about the $100,000 wasted on a building the Azzhat Commissioner designed for FEMA equipment storage that was condemned its use by Homeland security because it meets NONE of the requirements of the grant for its construction.

One of the drawbacks of living rural life is the local newspapers do not have true investigative reporters on staff available to take a story and run with it.

That old 0300-D continental is running like a champ! I am running 20W-50 Aeroshell but preheating it 24-7 with a home made forced air electric heater under the cowl keeping the oil, block and cylinders nice and toasty. She fired right up and never missed a lick. [^][:)]
