Got my heart test back

Went to the cardiologist yesterday, and got my results. Said I had a very small blockage, that doesn't require a stent yet. He suggested I have it flushed out , as that would be a better option. Heart is strong and has a regular beat. The dye they put in my showed that the bottom three arteries are working like they should. He said that if I had a blockage in the upper part of my heart, It would show the same thing, or show which bottom one was blocked. The blockage is at the top of my heart and is very, very minor. He said this is causing me to be so tired. The two heart attacks showed up but he didn't seemed to worried. Put me on blood thinners and gave me some nitro tablets, in case I feel like I am going to have another heart attack. I am going to let him do this "flush thing, in about two weeks. Right now, I am feeling great and have no pain, so I think the meds he gave me are working. He also told me that he thinks the stress I am under is causing my heart problems. Trying to keep myself in a calm mood. Oakie
PS, it is not a flush, but like a little tool that scrapes the walls of the artery. It looks like a little piranha on the end of a wire. [:D] That is how he explained it to me.

I had a heart attack on inauguration day 8 years ago, 4 stents later, doing ok then had an attack on last Friday and had my daughter grab my nitro pills, 4 tabs later doing ok. Should have went to ER but have an appointment to see my cardiologist next Monday, already scheduled.
One word, several words, KEEP YOUR NITRO AT HANDS LENGHTH. If my daughter would not have been at the house, I would have had to go 25 feet to get to my meds. Not any more,I keep close at hand.
Play it safe, Hypertension is a *. Sorry had to vent Oakie, not feeling well myself.

Ablation?
SO lucky to still be alive.
Nitro only opens the blood vessels temporarily, that "minor" blockage could have slammed shut, or made you wish it had.
I'm no doctor, but you should start the clopidogrel/blood thinners before you get the plaque scraped. If a chunk of that gets loose and finds a lung; you'll know it!
Back in '13, I wound up with 3 stents & a completely blocked coronary artery. My body fought it for years, creating several collateral veins to feed oxygenated blood to the heart. Didn't feel a thing the whole time before the 3rd attack.
Nitro is like the clove oil you put on a sore tooth; it doesn't fix anything but the pain.
Don't rely on nitro to keep you going, there will come a time that it only makes it worse, or does nothing at all.
I don't mean to scare you, just giving a glimpse from the other side of the shroud.
Keep on exchanging gases, this bunch needs cantankerous old farts to keep the young'uns in line!
Oakie, do you mind if I ask how old you are. I am having blood pressure issues and they have me on two different meds now and I am only 50.
I am 53. My BP is excellent right now. Was way up the last two months. 170 over 110. Normally it is 120 to 118 over 72. Monday it was 122 over 73. So that is not a problem.
Thanks to everyone for responding and the advice. Oakie[:)]
(But) I'm thinking about you Brother, and wishing you the best.
I had Mitral valve surgery up in NJ. (Valley hospital in Ridgwood.) In 2005. I was 45 and super healthy. Bad valve.

Glad to hear that you are on a plan to get it cleaned out.
Hope you get your energy back!
