i have ran across about a dozen computers with likewise content, disturbing when you know the people
Why would you even consider posting them?
My sentiments exactly, if it has a person in it and it's not yours to share, you shouldn't share It
If they doesn't have any people in them, and it's just scenery, not private areas in a person's home. Post them
i was working in a showroom in U city about 15 years ago and a guy returned his computer, my job was to reformat them, i plugged it all up, then a bunch of people walked in , i was about 5 feet away when the screen saver came on, pics of his wife preforming sex acts hit the screen, i quickly blocked the path and hit the power button to the monitor, of course found files upon files of it before i erased it

It's been a few years ago, quite a few, our county sheriff returned a vhs rental with the wrong tape in the case. As you can probably guess, it was him and his wife engaged in monkey lovin'.
often with the dude in it. (must have been someone else taking the pics) 1 or 2 with what appears to be family members.
Those need to be deleted.

which ones, with the dude or the family members?
All. If they contain anyone easily recognizable (in relation to this man and his family) they need deleted.
Would be a different matter if people in them were strangers wandering the markets of Beersheba.
Along this same line.
I still have a few photos from way back when. One in particular is of an attractive young lady in Eilat Israel. I liked the way the sun lit up her hair and let's face it, she was pretty. I asked, she consented, and I took the photo. Just because I never knew her name and have never seen her since does not mean I don't respect her privacy.

I retire my old hard drives with a blast O' 12 gauge!!
The first few times I asked the students if they wanted to save the pics. The look on their faces was priceless. I eventually just quit asking a deleted the pics before reformatting the HD.
I did get a LOT of good music files off their machines though - to the tune of over 100 Gigs worth.
To make it real clear, DELETE THEM ALL
Example: Say the hard drive you purchased used had a CAITA V5 CAD system on it. That system was purchased under license from Dassault. You didn't purchase the license and are not authorized to use that system.
What makes someone's photos any different?
