After consulting with a few surgeons and specialists, they ALL say surgery is my only option to correct my back. Seems that the fusion of my L4 and L5 vertebrae along with a steel mesh "cage" is the only way to prevent this injury from coming back and to prevent me from losing the mobility in my right leg. I will be going in on October 8th for surgery and will be out of service for 6-10 weeks. So, if you are of the faith minded, I need a few prayers to get me through this. Scared to death and not looking forward to next week.

Their will be 2 Davids at the top of the prayer and well wishes list for a while now.
Try not to let it eat U up man, you'll sleep through the whole thing and pain medications will help you through the recovery and healing process.I'm not even going to try to tell you you'll feel NO PAIN but, with the quality of life you'll gain, in the end, it'll all be well worth it.
However, until that time, I've got you on my standing prayer list.

Listen to your Dr and follow his advice after the surgery.
My Dr's best advice after my surgery was to walk 1/8-1/4 mile per day until I could walk 2 miles with no pain.
I'll be honest, it's going to hurt very BAD after the precedure and you might develope a craving for opiates after the pain subsides.
If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Let us know the day/time of the procedure.
