Actually, my wife's great uncle. He enjoyed good health and vigor (except for some hearing loss) right up until his death yesterday at the age of 102. He retired only about 10 years ago, working into his 90s.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and while in England he met Lily and married her. She is 92 and they had been married 72 years when he died. He raised a family and lived to see his great, great grandchildren born.
