some of you know I have had medical issues last few years, 3 bypass, then massive pulmonary blood clot, and loss of lung capacity, each in own not bad but all together I tire fast and my legs just give out after few hours of work. I applied for disability back in october when I was off work for blood clot, all sick pay run out, and though the doctors don't want me to go back to work he said he would release me to go back as he knew I hadn't been paid since october. I went back and got my 3 weeks vacation I had missed while I was on sick leave and was scheduled to go back to work the first of the year.
This morning I went to the local social security office to see what was going on, as I wasn't sure what to do with work, I had looked into early retirement, ect. but it was less than half pay after almost 40 years with company. well this morning they told me my claim had been approved my pension will start in febuary!!!!. that is the best news I have had in months, and one of the best christmas presents possible. I AM OFFICIALLLY RETIRED!!!!!!!!! still hasn't sunk in but it is feeling good. I won't be rich but it is enough to get by and keep the bill collectors off the front porch. just never expected to get approved the first time. sorry don't want to sound like bragging but it is a big relief off my back, as I was dredding having to go back to work and only being able to work a half day or so before my body gave out. still hasn't sunk in entirely but for the first time in almost a year, I am going to have quite a few beers this evening. sorry for rant

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
just enjoy each day now with out the worry
I didn't notice any bragging or ranting in your post either. I think you have earned every dime you're getting.
Enjoy!
Now if Ryan and McTurtle can figure out how to get the actual freeloaders off of it!
Went to the range yesterday.
Only 3 of us there- all retired. [:D]
