Bowhunting the other night....PIC Best time ever !

It was the best time I have had in the woods bowhunting where I did not shoot anything. I got out around 445 in the evening and there was movement within minutes of getting settled in.
A very small fawn (male) rolled through and walked across from the fence row and right down the path in front of my stand. He hung around for over 30 minutes, nibbling on things and just looking around. He finally walked off in to woods and was gone. 20 minutes later he came back and repeated his walking around. After another half hour he started walking up towards my tree stand. I was already standing figuring Mom and hopefully others would come in soon.
As he came to the bottom of my latter, he looked up and stared at me for several minutes and looked me over real good, finally he just walked away. He and his Mom rolled in about 15 minutes later and she gave me a 20 yard shot....I passed. The little guy was so small, I figured he needed mom around a little longer...I had other does out behind me late but decided to let them pass for now......Great time in the patch, looking forward to later in the week when the weather is suppose to change and cool off...

Good on you Brother.
It was a good evening and I figure I have plenty of time between now and early January to fill my doe tag....Hopefully one of the three shooter bucks I have pics of will show up too !!! [:)]
