Add this to the pile of reasons to not watch TV

I made a pile of home made whole wheat pancakes this morning for breakfast adding three eggs to the top for good measure..
I decided to eat breakfast in the great room and watch some news.
So I turned on the TV and hit ABC for news. The local weather spot had just started, so I turned up the TV and went back to the kitchen, listening.
My first trip kitchen to TV tray table was with Coffee and syrup, Commercials were on.
My second trip kitchen to TV tray was with my plate of flapjacks and eggs. Commercials were still on.
My third trip was for medications and a napkin. Commercials were still on.
My fourth trip was to grab a banana removing the peeling. Commercials were still on.
I sat down to eat, commercials were still on, I ate slowly sipping coffee eating the banana and checked the guide for local news, (none on), commercials were still on.
I finished my breakfast, commercials still on, and took the plate to the dishwasher getting another cup of coffee.
As I returned the ABC news came on about tennis players playing tennis, one guy won, the other guy lost. I have no idea who they were, it is impossible for me to care less.
Then they went to some slob in Dubai whining about not getting back into the country, he is a permanent resident student at some Socialist college, whining about Muslims and the constitution. The segment was about all the protests and "LET THEM IN" signs displayed by about 32 Clinton supporters.
So, I ate my entire breakfast with several trips to the kitchen and all that was on was commercial after commercial. Then when I did sit down to listen they played some one sideded sob story BS that just insults thinking people yet makes Libs cry.
Why watch any of this garbage when Netflix and Amazon Prime has great commercial free movies and shows by the thousand. If I want news I can hit Yahoo, Google or Reuters on the computer and skip all the commercials selling me drugs with side effects that would kill an elephant.
My first call tomorrow morning is to shut off the Dish Net Service, there is so little worth watching on TV the "service" is just a waste of money.
Television is a waste of electrons. If they are serious about saving the planet shut off about 2/3rds of the broadcast shows, close the studios with their massive light bills and let the Marxist reporters go paint houses for a living.

I tuned into the Today Show one morning last week while I was doing some away from the TV chores and just listening.
There were at least 10 full minutes of commercials between the cuts to the local channel news and weather.
Then, back to Today, all of the announcer's kept talking (blabbing) all at once making nothing but "crowd noise" with party laughter!
They were just having a real good time and should rename the show "The Morning Party"
If I really wanted entertainment I would sure find it elsewhere!
I only keep my Dish TV service for TCM which is all movies and would drop it like a hot potato if I could get TCM by itself.
If you're watching ABC, you are watching the DEMOCRAT party. Same with CNN, NBC, CBS.
Smart TV, connected to a computer is the way to go, you can live stream and avoid most commercials and DEMOCRAT party propaganda.
Drudge, Breitbart, Blaze, and of course talk radio is where I get my news.
So how much money does Murdoch make? What is his agenda?
The advertisements are insane. The internet is the game changer. I decided not to turn on the TV this morning. Probably just drink my coffee and hit the flea market and enjoy free trade and commerce.

sounds like a good way to spend a sunday to me.
I never watch national news.
The internet is a much better source for real news.
I rarely watch anything when it's broadcast.
I use my DVR and watch when I want so I can skip all the commercials.
I use an I want fees to go uper so I don't see ads on my computer.
Marketing people must hate me.[:D]
Anyway:
IF you want the news, turn on FOX news ... not ABC, NBC, CBS etc.

I don't get FOX NEWS and if I did I would not watch it due to Shepard Smith; his grating voice killed my viewing FOX NEWS many years ago.
Probably best to spend more time getting your affairs in order and not waste it watching network news.[;)]
