NY State crushes 2 tons of ivory!

NY crushed nearly two tons of ivory, including antique statues and jewelry. I'm sure many of those pieces were valuable and can never be replaced.

Those damned morons could have sent them to states like Virginia where ivory is still legal. No wonder that state is always broke. [:(!]

    They learned this trick from the UN and the Africans.

    I watched Kenya burn 8 tons of Ivory that was illegally collected. All they did was push up the price.

    They should have sold it on the open market and used to money to finance anti-poaching police/programs. But you know how it is when dealing with Africans or the UN logic cannot be part of the thought process.

    There is almost worldwide agreement that endangered live elephants should be protected by destroying their ivory so no one makes money selling it.

    Destroy Ivory, price goes up, more elephants are killed,,,, continue until all elephants are either in zoos, dead, or "detusked".

    GREAT PLAN

    I'd have given it to museums to display with the stipulation it be returned if taken off display.

    Democrats are NOT happy destroying history, the artifacts must also go on the bonfire.

    Any doubt that NY is the worst governed state in the union? Look up the stats. NY is bandrupt due to failed politicians and policies. New Yorkers are leaving in droves to escape the tax and spend democrat admnin of Cuomo.

    maybe its like when the local police would destroy the confiscated booze here. they would put a pic in the paper showing it being run over at the dump. but on close look it was all cheap beer. you never seen a can of Budweiser or any more expensive stuff. maybe they want us to believe the ivory was destroyed. yeah, I don't trust anyone
